Inverness Farmstay enables you to stay on a small working farm in O’Connell NSW, between Bathurst and Oberon, offering peace and tranquility for a short or extended stay.
Oberon is a town and Local Government Area in the central tablelands of New South Wales, Australia. The town usually receives snowfall during the winter months, owing to its high altitude. It is the highest town in the Blue Mountains region and some 30 km from the world-renowned Jenolan Caves. Oberon supports a strong rural community producing lambs, beef cattle and a wide range of vegetables.
The traditional owners of the land where Oberon now stands were the Wiradjuri people. Settlement commenced along the Fish River after the discovery of gold in 1823. The town was first known as Bullock Flats, but when it was proclaimed a village, it became Oberon.
